How to use the UKCLE site

This page gives a quick overview of how to use the UKCLE site, with details of the site structure, how to find your way around and how to print pages for the best results.

If you have any queries or comments contact us on e-mail: ukcle@warwick.ac.uk.

Site structure

The site is made up of five main sections, shown at the top of your screen:

The top menu bar
  • about us - who we are and what we do
  • get involved - how you can get involved with UKCLE and its work
  • news and events - the latest news and events, including the UKCLE events programme
  • research - details of legal education research funded by or with UKCLE involvement
  • resources - mini-sites and resources on key topics

If you are really in a hurry, our home page shows the most recent events, news stories and resources added to the site, as well as 'quick links' to key services.

Finding your way around

You can move up the site structure using the 'breadcrumb' shown on every page.

For example:

the breadcrumb feature

You are in the widening participation subsection of the resources section. Click on 'resources' to move up to the resources index page, and on 'home' to return to the home page.

the right hand menu

The menu on the right hand side of the screen includes several further navigation aids:

  • subsections within the current (sub)section
  • other pages within the same (sub)section
  • keywords for the current page

What's related?

Every page on the site has been keyworded, so you can find pages which cover the same subject quickly and easily. Click ‘what’s related’ on any page to see a list of related pages, with a brief description so you can decide where to go next.

You can also browse the list of keywords used on the site and use our site map to see the structure of folders.

Search the site

And don't forget the search box - simply enter a term in the box for a quick search. If that doesn't help or brings up too many results you can confine your search to the keywords or descriptions.

Printing

the print page feature

To print pages from the site, click on the "print page" icon in the page header to bring up a plain text version of the page ready for printing.
