LILI 2006: Using your imagination: illuminating legal education

8th Annual Conference of the Learning in Law Initiative

Delegates in Scarman House at LILI 2006LILI 2006, attended by over 130 delegates, explored the ways in which those engaged in legal education can meet the needs and expectations of an increasingly diverse student population. Our keynote speaker was David McQuoid-Mason, James Scott Wylie Professor of Law at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. David spoke on the theme: 'Confucius said "I do and I understand": using your imagination to light up knowledge, skills and values for LLB students'.

Three parallel sessions, including a total of 28 papers, followed. The business side of the conference concluded with Question Time and presentations to the Student Essay Competition winners, followed by a drinks reception and the annual LILI dinner.
