Funding for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
UKCLE has encouraged projects and other initiatives directed towards the development of learning and teaching issues specific to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland since its inception. From 2000-03 UKCLE appointed a dedicated Scottish Co-ordinator, and while the case for additional support for Scotland continues, the Centre has explored revised mechanisms for delivering its services to ensure that it makes full use of its annual budget while responding to country specific needs and remaining flexible enough to direct support to areas or issues that show the best prospects for development.
As part of its strategy for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland UKCLE has established a Nations Fund to support initiatives in the area of learning, teaching and assessment in law in the devolved nations. Law teachers may of course also submit applications of a more general nature to our Project Development Fund.
