Lowering the Drawbridges: Legal & Forensic Science Education for the 21st Century
In 2009 an investigation was undertaken to address issues related to teaching forensic science and law, by bringing together legal and forensic science academics to explore avenues for improving understanding, collaboration and communication between the two disciplines.
The project, undertaken by Dr Carole McCartney (School of Law, University of Leeds) and Professor John Cassella (Department of Forensic and Crime Science, Staffordshire University), was aimed at facilitating the building of vital connections in the academy to ensure that legal education remains ‘fit for purpose’ in the 21st century.
The report from the project ‘Lowering the Drawbridges: Legal & Forensic Science Education for the 21st Century’, available for download below, discusses the findings.
