UKCLE Associates Scheme

From 2005-07 UKCLE ran an Associates Scheme, aimed at involving the legal education community more closely in the Centre’s work. The appointment of Associates enabled us to develop and expand the range of resources and services were able to offer, at the same time as recognising the contribution made by members of the subject community in helping the Centre to achieve its objectives.

Our eight Associates made an active contribution to our work on a regular basis by undertaking projects, attending conferences and events as UKCLE representatives and more generally promoting the Centre and disseminating information – some examples of their work are listed below.

As a result of our evaluation of the Associates project, UKCLE has created two new ways of working drawing on the considerable experience of the academic community to our mutual benefit:

  • academics wishing to undertake research on learning and teaching within UKCLE may apply for appointment as a Visiting Fellow or Visiting Professor under our Visiting Fellowship Scheme
  • UKCLE Consultants may also be appointed from time to time to support specific strategic priorities and needs identified by the Centre
