basic use of a standard wordprocessing package, library and other
information retrieval systems)
- make use of computer-assisted learning packages
- to use e-mail for simple communication
- to locate materials on the Internet from a given address

| advanced level |
Able to:

undertake certain more sophisticated IT tasks, for example:
- complex Web searches
- make use of databases and spreadsheets
- transmit documents by e-mail and establish mailing lists
- develop an IT strategy to carry out work
- identify the relevant package to enable you to procure the work you
want to do
